So excited for AMSTERDAM!
Woke up and looked at my clock this morning: 10:30! Oops! I was baffled: I had set my alarm for 8am so I could wake up, go to tutoria, then come home and sleep more. It said that my alarm was set, but it didn't go off...I had COMPLETELY overslept. So weird. I felt badly because this was my second time missing it. Meh. Oh well. So I went back to sleep. I then woke up for good at 1:30. Hehe. Yay for no classes in the afternoon (Iconografia 6-8 was not cancelled, however). I got up, got ready, made one piece of toast, and just lazed around until lunch, which we ate early at 2. Lunch was really good: a simple broth with peas, potatoes, and some sort of fish. Delicious and extremely filling. With it we had sliced cherry tomatoes soaked in olive oil and different spices. Delicious. For dessert we had sliced strawberries with nata again. I was stuffed! After lunch I came back to the room where I caught up on my blogs and worked on getting ready for Amsterdam. Woo! While blogging I listened to a crapton of Dave Matthews Band which was very relaxing and put me in a good mood. Then around 5 I headed out (finally), went to the China dollar shop to buy a cheap umbrella and batteries, stopped at OpenCor for some water, then went to Iconografia. Class was fine, talked more about depictions of Christ. I was kind of spacing out most of the time cuz I can't stop thinking about Amsterdam! My professor seemed to be in an excellent mood, he was quite chipper. Class got out at around 7 so I walked back to los Remedios, stopped at SuperSol to buy some Gala apples for the trip tomorrow, then headed home. Once home I showered and packed like crazy whilst listening to Ben Folds...always a good time. Maruja came home late (she had warned me that she would) so we didn't eat until 9:45. Dinner was great and simple: a typical Spanish potato tortilla, a green salad with awesome green olives, and a flan cup for dessert. Delicious; I love Maruja's tortilla. It was another Lisa-Maruja date since Stacey's in Paris and Maria del Mar and Marta went home already for Semana Santa. Oh, hey, I'm on Spring Break! Whooooa! Then I came back here and finished packing and worked on this blog. I am so excited for Amsterdam I cannot even tell you. It's going to be amazing. I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow: I take an 8am bus to Madrid (6 hour ride) and then a 9:15pm flight to Amsterdam. I should get in a little before midnight. Craziness! So no blogs until I get back...I get back Wednesday at midnight so be patient with me. I'm sure that I'll have plenty to write about. I'm going to bed early so I can wake up early and be refreshed for a crazy day of travel and a crazy bunch of days of Amsterdamness. I'M SO EXCITED!!!
